3 Inexplicable Trends from AW17 Fashion Week
A compilation of some of the most WTF designs you'll pray don't actually become trends for Fall 2017.
1. Fancy Crocs (or any crocs at all, for that matter) - Christopher Kane
Cristopher Kane seems to really want Crocs to be a thing. This is the second season in a row he's sent crocs, the shoes beloved by camp counselors and reclusive co-workers everywhere, down the runway. For his Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Kane pimped out the rubber clogs with a marble overlay and what he calls "rock crystals" -- formerly known as Jibbitz. When this design didn't stick with the general fashion community, he decided to try again in his upcoming Fall collection. Gotta respect his resiliency. This time, the plastic shoes are simply lined with a strip of decorative faux fur. Who knows, maybe they'll replace the Gucci loafers. Welllll probably not.
2. Household Item Dressing - Central St. Martins, Molly Goddard, Comme des Garçons
From dresses reminiscent of loofas and sponges, to what looks like actual lint balls, we're not sure what to make of this seemingly rampant runway trend. Is this in our heads?

3. Full Frontal - Versus Versace, Central St. Martins, Raf Simmons for Calvin Klein, Adam Selman
Don't get us wrong, we're feminists and think there's no need for the nipple to be taboo. But with these shirts that may as well not exist, we're jw where all of these designers were rushing to get to when they decided to call it an early day and leave their ensembles unfinished. Where are you, top half??
SPECIAL BONUS: Thom Browne. no words.
What do you think: Is the fashion world losing its mind or do you appreciate the madness?
